This Month In Our Garden
Crepe Murtle
During the height of summer the tree produces masses of vibrant flowers which in texture resemble crepe fabric. These flowers can last up to three months providing a wonderful highlight to the garden. The colours of the flowers range from white, pink and deep mauve to red. The petal looks and feels more like crepe paper, crinkley and wrinkled.
Cherry Tomato
Tucked away in the corner of one of our gardens, a Cherry Tomato plant has been growing. This plant came up out of the compost which had been spread over the surface of the garden bed.
As it was happy where it was, we decided to leave it to see what developed as the plant had all that it needed, plenty of sunshine and humus rich soil.
